The teams focused their efforts on a few of the highest-value S&OP levers in order to review the current planning process, identify gaps in the planning infrastructure and analytically understand demand and supply variability.

Somali young women face significant hurdles in the job market due to a lack of networking skills, job seeking knowledge, and difficulty building professional relationships. This can be attributed to cultural factors, limited exposure to professional networks, and a lack of guidance on navigating the job search process effectively.

To address these challenges, Afartan, a [area of focus of Afartan], has partnered with the Society of Somali Women Engineers (SSWE). This collaboration aims to equip young Somali women with the necessary tools for success. Through targeted programs, mentorship opportunities, and workshops, the initiative will provide training in resume writing, interview skills, and effective networking strategies.
